Officers were dispatched to the area of West 10th and North Locust streets for a gunshot victim Friday, Sept. 27, police said. However, when they arrived the man who had been shot told them he'd been sitting outside when he felt a sharp pain in his right side.

The man told police that he'd heard a noise and the pain followed immediately after, according to police. When the officers looked the man over for wound they found a small puncture wound similar to a shot from a BB gun. He was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A search warrant is being executed on a home in the same area where the shot was possibly fired from, police said. No arrests have been made at this time.
